As a result of a complaint, the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee decided to caution Dr. Rayan Ghandour as follows: • Dr. Ghandour failed to wear the proper type of mask (N95 or equivalent) while performing an aerosol-generating procedure during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, Dr. Ghandour was not wearing his mask in the proper manner during the procedure, over his nose. Dr. Ghandour also removed his mask while talking with the patient after the procedure. • Dr. Ghandour is cautioned that patient safety should be his paramount concern at all times. He is cautioned to ensure that he follows all infection prevention and control measures that are in place to protect patients and to decrease the risk of transmission of COVID-19.
