As of Right Applicant
"As of Right" (AOR) allows qualified dentists who are currently registered in good standing in either a Canadian province or territory to practise for up to six (6) months in Ontario while completing registration requirements and waiting for their application to be approved. To qualify to practise As of Right, a dentist must meet the Conditions of Exemption.
AOR Applicant Eligibility Requirements
- You must be currently registered as a dentist in Canada in a class equivalent to the one you are applying to.
- You must have applied for registration to the RCDSO.
- A regulatory authority must not have refused registration in the past two years.
- A finding of professional misconduct, incompetence, or incapacity has not been made against you.
- You must not be the subject of a current proceeding for professional misconduct, incompetence, or incapacity.
- You hold professional liability insurance in, or that extends to, Ontario.
- You must physically live in Ontario to provide dentistry to patients in Ontario.
- You must complete an attestation form.
