Dental CT Scanner Renewal Guide
Every dental facility where a dental CT scanner is installed and operated must have a facility permit issued by the College. This permit must be renewed on an annual basis to remain current.
Any dentist that wishes to prescribe, order, take, interpret and report on CT scans must have a member authorization issued by the College. This authorization must be renewed on an annual basis to remain current. CT facility permits and authorizations expire annually on October 31st.
All dentists who want to maintain their annual CT member authorization and/or CT facility permits must renew them each year before October 31st.
Your CT Facility Permit and Member Authorization certificates will be available to view and download from your RCDSO Portal account 24 to 72 hours after completing the renewal process. You can also check the status of your CT facility permits using our ‘Find a Dentist’ search on our Public Register. If your certificate is still not available after 72 hours, please contact us at ctscanners@rcdso.org.

If CT authorized dentists intend to prescribe, order, take, interpret and report on any dental CT scans at this facility in the future, the CT facility permit must be renewed before October 31st.
