Diagnosis and Treatment Planning Courses

Formulating a diagnosis is the foundation for dental care – there can be no treatment without a diagnosis. The process of arriving at a diagnosis is iterative, with increasing certainty as the dentist systematically collects, analyzes and synthesizes information from the patient’s medical and dental history, their comprehensive clinical examination and interpretation of radiographic findings. Treatment planning principles allow the dentist to identify treatment options for consideration by the patient through the consent to treatment process. The treatment plan can then be developed and documented, creating a roadmap for the dentist and patient to follow as care is provided.

These Diagnosis and Treatment Planning courses offer practical advice for understanding the clinical requirements in Ontario and how to incorporate them into daily practice.
